38th Reach Annual Celebrity Auction

Thank you to the sponsors, guests, donors, and volunteers for helping us Reach for the Stars at the 38th Reach Annual Celebrity Auction!

This year, the 38th Reach Annual Celebrity Auction took off with great excitement and delight to the over 250 guests in attendance. The gala evening began with live music sung by Jazz vocalist Renee Landry. Landry brought classic Jazz standards like “Body and Soul” and “Witchcraft” to life with her soulful instincts and nuanced melodicism. Landry also treated guests to an eclectic mix of modern repertoire from the likes of Amy Winehouse and Beyoncé.

As the music played, guests had the opportunity to peruse the silent auction items and write down bids on any item they hoped to take home. The Reach Auction Committee worked tirelessly over the year to bring hundreds of unique items to the auction. The silent auction was packed with everything from sprawling original works of art to delightful gift baskets and sporting equipment.

The auction was brought to life by our auctioneers and emcees Jock Climie, James Foord & Lawrence Greenspon. The atmosphere was electric as bidders raised their bidding cards in the hopes of taking home prizes such as VIP tickets to see and meet Alec Baldwin at his upcoming show at the NAC and a round trip vacation to Whitehorse, YT for two. Guests went home entertained, full, and with a few new fabulous auction wins—that they might have to explain to their significant others (just call us we can help ;).

Most importantly, the auction was a success because of our guests, sponsors and volunteers and their continued support. The auction night is a beacon of the strength and community we have built together over the years; it is the evening the Reach community gathers to acknowledge how far we’ve come with a commitment to finding brighter future. Thanks to your continued support, Reach will be able to continue to provide legal referrals and educational programs to those with or acting on behalf of those with a disability.
